Snowdrops and Snowflakes
Always popular for their early arrival, Garden Snowdrops can show up weeks before Crocus do, and will often poke through a covering of snow. A Snowdrop bloom resembles three drops of milk hanging from a stem, which accounts for the Latin name Galanthus which means “milk-white flowers”. As individual snowdrops are very small, for a dramatic effect in your garden they are best planted in large numbers.
